Skardu Celebrates World Tourism Day with Walk and Cycling Event

Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan – The University of Baltistan marked World Tourism Day with a special event promoting sustainable tourism and highlighting the vast opportunities in the region.

Organized by the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, the day kicked off with a vibrant walk featuring students carrying placards with slogans emphasizing the importance of responsible tourism.

To underscore the theme of eco-friendly travel, students also participated in a cycling event, traversing various parts of the city.

The day concluded with a thought-provoking discussion on the immense tourism potential of Gilgit-Baltistan, further showcasing the region’s commitment to developing a sustainable and thriving tourism industry.
