Mobilink goes Digital with Bahria Town

Islamabad – 8March, 2016:As part of its Digital ‘Exceleration’ initiative, Mobilink has partnered with Pakistan’s largest real estate developer, Bahria Town, after a signing ceremony between the two entities.  Under this partnership, Mobilink shall launch its Digital Mobile Financial Services Platform for Bahria Townresidents, making it the largest private sector enterprise to transform and lead in deployment of its first digital economy module.Mobilink & Bahria Town Picture with English Caption

 

Bahria Town’ s decision to partner with Mobilink is based on the Telco’s robust, secure and advanced ICT infrastructure, coupled with its fastest and most extensive 3G network all over Pakistan. This partnership is also in line with the real-estate developer’s goal of digital transformation under its Bahria ICT based Smart City initiative.Speaking at the signing ceremony, President and CEO – Mobilink, Jeffrey Hedberg said, “This partnership is the first step towards Digital Evolution, as it provides Bahria Town with the most robust digital financial services platform for transactions on Mobilink’s resilient 3Gand fixed data networks. Furthermore, this platform will be extended for other communications through our M2M, IOT (Internet of things) and Sensors offerings for full scale Smart City deployments.”  Bahria Town will use Mobilink’s digital platform for financially interconnecting its residents and customers. These services include Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Clients (B2C) and Business-to-Public (B2P) services. Initially these services will include all kinds of utilities & maintenance payments, salary disbursements and payments to other service providers and contractors.“We will be utilizingMobilink’s Digital Financial Services platform to initiate outbound and inbound transactions. In the next phase we plan to use it for financial transfers between all our service providers, be it schools, hospitals or maintenance services.
