PEMRA Announces Comprehensive Website Revamp to Enhance User Experience

*Islamabad, July 11, 2024* – In a bid to improve its digital presence and ensure better communication with the public and stakeholders, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) is undertaking a major revamp of its official website. This initiative is part of PEMRA’s ongoing efforts to modernize its online platform and provide a more user-friendly experience.

A committee meeting held on June 26, 2024, chaired by the appointed Chairperson, reviewed the newly developed in-house PEMRA website. This review follows an initial communication from the IT wing, referenced by letter No. 10(02)HQ/IT/441 dated June 13, 2024, which set the groundwork for the website’s overhaul.

During the meeting, the committee underscored the necessity for all relevant wings and regional offices to meticulously review and verify the content specific to their areas. The directive mandates these departments to respond within five working days, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of PEMRA’s standards.

Ehsan Ullah, Assistant Director (IT) and Secretary to the Committee, stated, “This revamp is a critical step towards enhancing the functionality and accessibility of PEMRA’s online presence. It is imperative that all wings and regional offices participate actively in this process to maintain the integrity and reliability of the information provided on our platform.”

The revamped website aims to facilitate easier navigation, provide more comprehensive information, and improve the overall user experience for visitors. This initiative is expected to support PEMRA’s mission of promoting transparency and efficiency in the electronic media sector of Pakistan.

The Chairperson’s directive highlights the commitment of PEMRA to staying current with technological advancements and ensuring that its stakeholders have access to reliable and user-centric digital resources. As the process progresses, stakeholders and the general public can look forward to a significantly improved website that better serves their needs.

This update is a testament to PEMRA’s dedication to continuous improvement and its proactive approach to embracing digital transformation in its operations.
