Korean Ambassador Visits Alexander the Great’s Memorial in Jhelum_

In a significant diplomatic gesture, Korean Ambassador Park Kejun visited the historic memorial of Alexander the Great in Jalalpur Sharif, Jhelum, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jhelum. The ambassador took keen interest in the ancient relics and artifacts related to the legendary conqueror, and also planted a sapling within the memorial premises.

Ambassador Park Kejun expressed his delight at visiting the site, terming it a “hidden treasure” of the Jhelum district. He emphasized the importance of his visit in strengthening bilateral relations between Korea and Pakistan, and promoting trade between the two nations.

Naeem Akhtar Bhatti, a local resident, welcomed the ambassador’s visit, stating that it would foster a cordial relationship between Korea and Pakistan. He also highlighted the potential for increased tourism, which would contribute to a brighter future for Pakistan.

The visit is seen as a significant step towards enhancing cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
