*PILGRIMS STRANDED AT BAGHDAD AIRPORT, PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT INTERVENES

 

Karachi, Pakistan – A group of pilgrims returning from Karbala, Iran, have been stranded at Baghdad Airport for several days due to a canceled flight, leaving them without access to food and facing severe difficulties.

 

The pilgrims, who were scheduled to return to Karachi on IQ Flight No. IA 2341, have been delayed since the flight was canceled due to repairs at the Iraqi Air Base. With no alternative arrangements made, the pilgrims have been left to fend for themselves, with many struggling to access basic necessities like food.

Sharjeel Khudabakhsh, a resident of Miranpur, a village near Matari, who is among the stranded pilgrims, reached out to media representatives and expressed his concerns. “The Baghdad government is not providing any assistance to us, and we are facing serious difficulties due to the lack of food and currency,” he said.

Following the reports of the stranded pilgrims, Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has intervened and demanded that arrangements be made for their return. The government has assured that it is working to resolve the issue and ensure the safe return of the pilgrims.
