Punjab Government Renames THQ Hospital in Honor of Olympian Arshad Nadeem

The Punjab government has renamed the THQ Hospital in Mian Channu, District Khanewal, as “Olympian Arshad Nadeem THQ Hospital” in recognition of the athlete’s outstanding achievements.

The decision was made by the competent authority and announced through a notification issued by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department on August 10, 2024.

Arshad Nadeem, a renowned Pakistani javelin thrower, has brought pride to the country by winning numerous international medals, including the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The renaming of the hospital is a tribute to Nadeem’s exceptional talent and dedication to sports. The hospital, which has a capacity of 100 beds, will continue to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Mian Channu and surrounding areas.

The notification has been forwarded to various officials, including the Commissioner of Multan Division, Deputy Commissioner of Khanewal, and Director General of Health Services, Punjab, among others.
