Dubai Conference to Boost Women’s Rugby in Asia

  • Dubai (Special Report) World Rugby has announced the Impact Beyond Summit for Asia, to be held in Dubai from November 27th to 30th. This summit is part of the Impact Beyond 2025 plan leading up to the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 in England.


The summit aims to capitalize on the growing momentum of women’s rugby and accelerate its development. World Rugby has identified the advancement of women in the workforce and gender equality as key priorities.

The Impact Beyond Summit will bring together representatives from Asian rugby unions to enhance their skills and empower them to grow the women’s game.

Key focus areas include:
* Promoting opportunities and driving career development for women in rugby
* Unlocking funding and building partnerships
* Increasing the visibility of women’s rugby

Pakistan Rugby has been asked to nominate a key decision-maker involved in women’s rugby programs to attend the summit.

This initiative signals World Rugby’s commitment to advancing opportunities for women in rugby across Asia and leveraging the upcoming World Cup as a catalyst for growth.

It is worth noting that a special conference was recently held to promote women’s rugby, with delegates from around the world in attendance. Ms. Shireen Hina represented the women of Pakistan. Sources indicate that the conference emphasized taking practical steps to promote rugby in Asia and globally.

These actions highlight World Rugby’s dedication to increasing opportunities for women in rugby throughout Asia and utilizing the upcoming World Cup as a driving force for development.
