Pakistan’s Embassy in Kabul Celebrates Independence Day, Honors Victory in ‘Maarka-e-Haq’

Kabul, August 14, 2025: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul today commemorated the nation’s Independence Day, a celebration that also marked what it described as a historic victory in “Maarka-e-Haq” against India. This triumph, according to the embassy, demonstrates Pakistan’s resilience in the face of what it called India’s “naked aggression.”

During a flag-hoisting ceremony, Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani praised Pakistan’s armed forces and stated that the nation stands united in its commitment to protecting its borders and ideology. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the independence movement’s heroes and the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The Ambassador also highlighted the ongoing struggle for self-determination in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where he said Kashmiris are facing oppression. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people and urged everyone to advocate for their freedom.

The ceremony included the reading of messages from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Ambassador Nizamani called on embassy staff to renew their dedication to building a strong and prosperous Pakistan.
