Aerial Cable Cut Causes Power and Connectivity Disruption in Lahore

Lahore,News desk: A serious disruption occurred in Lahore after an aerial cable was accidentally cut, affecting both electricity and communication services in multiple areas.

A formal complaint has been lodged with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), calling for immediate action and accountability. The letter claims that the damage occurred during maintenance work, allegedly due to the negligence of LESCO staff or contractors.

According to the complaint, the incident not only caused inconvenience to residential and business users but also highlighted serious safety and coordination lapses in the company’s field operations. The complainant urged LESCO’s management to take strict disciplinary measures against those responsible and ensure preventive monitoring systems are put in place to avoid similar occurrences in the future.

Eyewitnesses in the affected area reported that power restoration took several hours, with residents expressing frustration over delayed response and poor communication between technical teams.

The letter also calls for compensation and technical support to restore the damaged infrastructure and emphasizes the importance of maintaining service reliability in a city heavily dependent on uninterrupted electricity and internet connectivity.
