LSE Capital Limited has applied to list its third Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), named LSE SPAC-III, on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The company aims to raise Rs. 500 million to fund future business acquisitions.
Out of the total amount, Rs. 400 million will come from pre-IPO investors, including seed capital provided by LSE Capital. The remaining Rs. 100 million will be raised through an Initial Public Offering (IPO), allowing members of the public to invest.
According to the company’s filing with the PSX, the funds will be used to acquire one or more businesses in line with the Public Offering Regulations, 2017. The target company or companies will be selected after the IPO is successfully completed.
This marks LSE Capital’s third SPAC initiative, following the successful launches of LSE SPAC-I and LSE SPAC-II. With these listings, the company continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading SPAC sponsors in Pakistan’s capital market.
A Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) is a company created specifically to raise money through an IPO. Instead of running its own business, a SPAC uses the funds to acquire or merge with an existing private company. This approach allows private businesses to become publicly listed without going through the traditional IPO process.
