Tecno Pova Slim Design and Build Quality
The biggest attraction of the Tecno Pova Slim is its thin design. Many smartphones have become heavier and thicker because of their large batteries and advanced hardware. Tecno has taken a different approach by focusing on a slim body that is easy to carry.
The phone measures approximately 164.23 x 75.91 x 5.95mm and weighs around 156 grams. This makes it a lightweight option compared with many smartphones that have similar screen sizes.
Its slim body can make everyday use more comfortable, especially for people who spend a lot of time holding their phones while chatting, watching videos or browsing social media.
The device has a glass front protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the back uses a reinforced plastic material. Its overall design gives it a modern look.
Tecno offers the Pova Slim in three colour options: Sky Blue, Slim White and Cool Black. These choices allow users to select a colour that suits their personal style.
The phone also has an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. However, this does not mean that it is waterproof, so users should avoid submerging it in water.
Display and Screen Quality
The Tecno Pova Slim features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1224 x 2720 pixels. This screen is designed to provide clear text, detailed images and rich colours.
AMOLED technology can produce deep black colours and strong contrast. This makes the phone suitable for watching films, viewing pictures, reading articles and using social media apps.
One of its most important features is the 144Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate helps make scrolling, animations and supported games look smoother than they do on standard 60Hz screens.
The display also offers a high advertised peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits under specified conditions. This can help improve visibility in bright surroundings, although actual brightness depends on the content and usage conditions.
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i provides added protection for the front of the phone. Still, using a suitable screen protector and a protective case is a sensible choice.
Overall, the large AMOLED display is one of the strongest features of the Tecno Pova Slim. It should appeal to users who enjoy watching videos, browsing websites and playing mobile games.
Processor and Performance
The Tecno Pova Slim 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which is built using a 6nm process. This processor is designed for mid-range smartphones and supports 5G connectivity.
The chipset has an octa-core CPU, combining two performance cores with six efficiency-focused cores. This arrangement helps balance speed and power use during daily tasks.
With 8GB of RAM, the phone can handle common activities such as messaging, web browsing, video streaming and switching between several apps.
Users can choose between 128GB and 256GB of internal storage, depending on the available version. This provides space for applications, photographs, videos, documents and downloaded files.
However, the phone does not include a microSD card slot, so users cannot expand the built-in storage with a memory card. People who save many large videos or games should consider the 256GB version if it is available at a suitable price.
For gaming, the Dimensity 6400 should be suitable for many popular mobile games at reasonable settings. However, it is not a high-end gaming processor, and demanding games may require lower graphics settings for smoother performance.
The 144Hz screen can make supported games feel smoother, but the actual frame rate also depends on the game and the processor.
For everyday users who need a stylish phone for regular tasks, the Pova Slim offers a practical mix of performance and design.
Tecno Pova Slim Camera Specifications
The Tecno Pova Slim comes with a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera and an additional 2MP sensor. On the front, users get a 13MP selfie camera.
The main camera is suitable for everyday photography, including pictures of friends, family gatherings, food, outdoor scenes and social media posts.
Rear Camera Performance
The 50MP main camera is designed to capture detailed pictures in good lighting. Users can take photos during the day, capture landscapes and record everyday moments.
The camera also supports features such as autofocus and an LED flash. These can help users take clearer pictures in different situations.
However, camera performance depends on lighting and other conditions. Night photography may not produce the same level of detail as daylight shots, especially in very dark places.
The additional 2MP sensor supports the camera system, but users should not expect the same flexibility that they would get from an ultrawide or telephoto camera.
Front Camera for Selfies
The 13MP front camera is suitable for selfies, video calls and online meetings. It can also be used to record short videos for social media platforms.
People who regularly use WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and other apps should find the front camera useful for everyday communication.
The phone supports video recording at up to 1440p at 30 frames per second through its main camera, according to published specifications. Actual recording options may vary depending on the selected mode.
Overall, the cameras are suitable for normal use, but photography enthusiasts may want to compare the Pova Slim with other phones in the same price range before buying.
Battery Capacity and Charging Speed
Battery life is an important part of any smartphone, especially for users who spend many hours away from home. The Tecno Pova Slim packs a 5,160mAh battery, which is a notable feature considering its thin body.
Many people use their phones for calls, messaging, online classes, video streaming, navigation and social media. A battery of this size should provide enough power for a normal day, depending on how the phone is used.
Heavy gaming, long video sessions, high screen brightness and continuous 5G use can consume more power. Therefore, battery timing will not be the same for every user.
45W Fast Charging
The phone supports 45W wired fast charging. This feature can reduce the time needed to recharge the battery compared with slower chargers, although charging speed changes as the battery fills up.
The actual charging time also depends on the charger, temperature and charging conditions.
The Pova Slim additionally supports 10W reverse wired charging and bypass charging. Reverse charging can be useful for supplying power to compatible accessories, while bypass charging can help power the phone more directly during supported gaming sessions.
For users who want a slim smartphone without a very small battery, this combination of a 5,160mAh capacity and 45W charging is one of the phone’s main attractions.
Software and User Experience
The Tecno Pova Slim runs Android 15 with Tecno’s HiOS 15 interface. This software provides the main Android features along with Tecno’s own design and additional tools.
Users can install apps, browse the internet, manage files, watch videos and use popular social media platforms.
HiOS offers several customisation options, allowing users to adjust parts of the interface according to their preferences. The exact experience can depend on the software version and the apps included in a particular market’s release.
As with other Android phones, users should check for available software and security updates after purchasing the device.
Long-term software support is also worth considering. Anyone planning to keep the same phone for several years should check Tecno’s confirmed update policy for the particular model and region.
Connectivity and Other Features
The Tecno Pova Slim supports 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and 5G networks. Its 5G support makes it suitable for compatible networks where the service is available.
However, owning a 5G phone does not automatically provide 5G internet. Users need a compatible SIM, a supported network and coverage in their area.
Other connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC in supported versions and a USB Type-C port. The phone also includes an infrared port, which can be used to control compatible home appliances.
For security, the device offers an under-display fingerprint sensor. This allows users to unlock the phone without entering a password every time.
The phone also has an LED lighting feature on the back, adding a visual touch to its design.
There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, so users who prefer wired headphones may need a compatible USB Type-C accessory or wireless earphones.
The IP64 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, but users should still keep the phone away from swimming pools, deep water and heavy exposure to liquids.

Is Tecno Pova Slim Worth Buying in Pakistan?
The Tecno Pova Slim is an interesting option for people who want a modern smartphone with a very thin body. Its lightweight design, large AMOLED screen, 5G support and 5,160mAh battery make it different from many regular smartphones.
It is suitable for users who spend time watching videos, browsing social media, making calls and using everyday apps. Its 144Hz display also gives it an advantage for people who prefer smooth scrolling and animations.
However, the phone is not necessarily the best choice for every buyer. People who play demanding games may find better performance-focused options at a similar price. Users who mainly care about photography should also compare its cameras with those of competing phones.
The expected price of around Rs. 79,999 is another important point to consider. Before making a decision, buyers should compare current market prices, warranty coverage and the total cost of a PTA-approved device.
Since imported stock may be available from different sellers, it is important to check whether the phone is officially approved for use on Pakistani mobile networks. A low advertised price may not include all the costs associated with registration or warranty.
Final verdict: The Tecno Pova Slim is worth considering if a slim, lightweight design and a high-quality display are your main priorities. If you prefer stronger gaming performance, better camera options or more storage flexibility, compare it with other phones before spending your money.
