PAKISTAN WELCOMES NEW CITIZEN: Iranian National Muhammad Mustafa Khan Granted Citizenship

Islamabad,
Zubair kasuri
In a landmark decision, the Pakistani government has granted citizenship to Iranian national Muhammad Mustafa Khan, ending his prolonged wait.

According to sources, Khan’s citizenship was restored on the instructions of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, following a thorough review of his case by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Khan, son of late Muhammad Hussain, had renounced his Iranian citizenship on March 6, 2023, but faced legal obstacles and departmental hurdles in his quest for Pakistani citizenship.

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has issued a notification confirming Khan’s eligibility for citizenship restoration under Section 14(1) of the Pakistan Citizenship Act, 1951.

With his citizenship restored, Khan is now entitled to obtain a new Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and enjoy all the rights and privileges of a Pakistani citizen.

This development marks a significant milestone in Khan’s journey, and he can now look forward to a brighter future as a proud Pakistani citizen.
