Sikh Community Celebrates 420th Anniversary of Guru Granth Sahib’s

Nankana Sahib, Pakistan – A grand ceremony was held at Gurdwara Janm Asthan Nankana Sahib to mark the completion of 420 years since the first prakash (installation) of Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhism. The event, attended by prominent Sikh leaders and devotees from across the country, featured religious rites and prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity and global peace.

A vibrant Nagarkirtan procession, involving thousands of Sikh pilgrims, was taken out from the Asthan, with participants singing religious hymns and performing rituals. The district administration ensured excellent arrangements for the pilgrims’ accommodation, food, parking, medical care, and security, earning gratitude from the Sikh community.

This historic celebration highlights the religious significance of Nankana Sahib and the Pakistani government’s commitment to supporting minority communities.
