Ufone Set to Appoint Telenor’s Areej Khan as New CHRO

Islamabad – In a significant development following the second phase of Telenor’s acquisition by Ufone PTCL, Ufone is reportedly close to appointing Areej Khan, the current Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at Telenor Pakistan, as its new CHRO. This follows the recent departure of Ufone’s former CHRO, Shoaib Baig.

Sources confirm that Areej Khan has already undergone two rounds of interviews, and her appointment as Ufone PTCL’s new CHRO is expected in the coming days. This strategic move highlights Ufone’s intention to capitalize on the expertise of key personnel from Telenor as it seeks to strengthen its human resource leadership.

By bringing in Areej Khan, Ufone aims to enhance its HR operations with the experience of a seasoned professional, marking a new phase of leadership within the organization post-acquisition.
