Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Peshawar Division, Dr. Abida Maryam Lodhi, has once again demonstrated her commitment to discipline and transparency within Pakistan Railways by leading a large-scale operation against ticketless passengers aboard the Rehman Baba Express, traveling from Peshawar to Karachi.

During the surprise inspection, a significant number of passengers were found traveling without valid tickets. The railway enforcement team, under her supervision, imposed fines and recovered over Rs 150,000 in penalties and ticket fares on the spot.

Dr. Lodhi emphasized that traveling without a ticket is not only a legal violation but also a burden on national resources, adding that strict monitoring will continue across all trains operating from Peshawar Division.

In September 2021, she conducted similar inspections on the Hazara Express, where fines amounting to Rs 17,630 were imposed on 12 ticketless passengers.
