Islamabad | January 1, 2026: Pakistani consumers received an unwelcome surprise at the very start of the New Year as four major smartphone brands announced price increases across multiple models, effective from January 1, 2026.
According to official price notifications issued to dealers and distributors, realme, TECNO, Infinix, and Xiaomi have revised their retail prices upward, marking a coordinated rise in smartphone costs across Pakistan.
Xiaomi Joins the Price Hike
In the latest update, Xiaomi Pakistan has also increased prices of its popular budget smartphone Redmi A5. The revised prices are now applicable nationwide.

Earlier Price Increases by Other Brands
realme increased prices on several Note and C-series smartphones, with hikes ranging from PKR 1,000 to PKR 2,000. TECNO raised prices on Spark and Camon series models, while Infinix revised prices across Smart, Hot, Note, and Zero series devices.
Market Impact
Market analysts warn that these price increases could further strain Pakistan’s price-sensitive smartphone market. Retailers fear reduced sales volumes, while consumers may turn to used or non-PTA devices.
