The phone comes with a powerful Snapdragon processor, a large AMOLED display, a 5,500mAh battery, and fast charging support. It also offers a stylish design, a smooth user experience, and enough performance for gaming, photography, social media, and everyday tasks.

For Pakistani users looking for a powerful Android smartphone, the OnePlus 12R is an interesting option. Its combination of performance, display quality, and battery life makes it suitable for students, gamers, professionals, and regular smartphone users.

Let’s explore its complete specifications, design, camera, performance, battery, features, and expected price in Pakistan.

OnePlus 12R Design and Display

The OnePlus 12R features a premium design that gives it the look and feel of an expensive flagship smartphone. Its curved edges, stylish camera module, and slim body make it attractive for users who prefer modern mobile designs.

The back panel has a clean finish, while the circular camera arrangement gives the phone a unique appearance. OnePlus has also focused on making the device comfortable to hold and use.

The front side features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display. This screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling, gaming, and moving between applications feel smooth.

The display also offers a 1.5K resolution, providing clear text, sharp images, and detailed videos. Whether users are watching YouTube, browsing websites, or enjoying movies, the screen delivers a high-quality viewing experience.

Another important feature is its LTPO 4.0 technology. It allows the screen to adjust its refresh rate according to the content being displayed. This helps provide smooth performance while managing battery consumption.

The display also supports HDR10+ content, making supported videos look more colourful and detailed.

OnePlus 12R Processor and Performance

Performance is one of the biggest strengths of the OnePlus 12R. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is built using a 4nm process.

This chipset was designed for premium smartphones and delivers fast performance while managing power consumption. It is suitable for users who run multiple applications, play heavy games, edit videos, and perform other demanding tasks.

The phone also comes with an Adreno 740 GPU, which handles graphics and gaming performance. Popular games such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Genshin Impact can run smoothly with suitable graphics settings.

OnePlus has also included a special cooling system to control heat during long gaming sessions. Its Dual Cryo-Velocity cooling system uses two vapour chambers to move heat away from important components.

This cooling setup helps maintain stable performance when users play games or use demanding applications for longer periods.

The smartphone is available in different memory configurations, including:

• 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.

• 16GB RAM with 256GB storage.

It uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, which help applications open quickly and improve overall performance.

Users who need more space for photos, videos, games, and other files should consider the 256GB version.

OnePlus 12R Camera Specifications

The OnePlus 12R comes with a triple rear camera setup. The company has focused on providing good photography results in different lighting conditions.

The main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). This camera can capture detailed pictures with natural colours and good brightness.

OIS also helps reduce the effect of hand movement while taking photos. This feature is useful when capturing pictures at night or recording videos while moving.

The second camera is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. It allows users to capture wider pictures, making it useful for group photos, buildings, landscapes, and outdoor photography.

The third camera is a 2MP macro sensor. It is designed for close-up photography, allowing users to capture small objects and details from a short distance.

Rear Camera Features:

• 50MP main camera with Sony IMX890 sensor.

• 8MP ultra-wide camera.

• 2MP macro camera.

• Optical Image Stabilisation.

• LED flash.

• HDR photography.

• Panorama mode.

• 4K video recording support.

The main camera performs well in daylight and can capture clear images with good details. Night photography also benefits from OIS and OnePlus image processing.

However, the ultra-wide and macro cameras are not as powerful as the main sensor. Users who mainly care about photography should keep this difference in mind.

OnePlus 12R Front Camera

For selfies and video calls, the OnePlus 12R offers a 16MP front-facing camera.

The selfie camera can capture clear pictures in good lighting conditions. It also supports portrait photography, allowing users to take pictures with a blurred background.

This camera is suitable for everyday selfies, video calls, social media posts, and online meetings.

Users can also record videos using the front camera. Its performance is good for normal social media use, although it does not offer the same quality as the main rear camera.

OnePlus 12R Battery and Charging

Battery life is another major reason to consider the OnePlus 12R. The phone packs a large 5,500mAh battery, which is designed to provide long usage on a single charge.

Users can watch videos, browse the internet, use WhatsApp, play games, and enjoy social media without needing to charge the phone frequently.

Battery performance depends on screen brightness, network signals, gaming time, and other settings. However, the large battery makes the device a good option for people who use their smartphones throughout the day.

The phone also supports 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging in supported markets. According to OnePlus laboratory testing, the battery can charge from 1% to 100% in around 26 minutes under specific test conditions.

This is particularly helpful for people who have limited time to charge their phones.

Another useful feature is the Battery Health Engine. OnePlus says its battery technology is designed to maintain more than 80% of battery capacity after 1,600 charging cycles under its test conditions.

The battery is non-removable, so users cannot replace it themselves without proper repair support.

OnePlus 12R Software and Operating System

The OnePlus 12R originally launched with Android 14 and OxygenOS 14.

OxygenOS offers a clean interface with different customisation options. Users can change themes, wallpapers, icons, display settings, and other features according to their preferences.

The software also includes useful tools for managing applications, controlling notifications, improving privacy, and saving battery power.

Some important software features include:

• Dark Mode.

• Always-On Display.

• App management options.

• Screen recording.

• Gaming Mode.

• Privacy controls.

• Customisable home screen.

• Fingerprint unlocking.

• Face unlocking.

OnePlus has also added its Trinity Engine technology to improve the overall software experience. It helps manage memory and processing resources so applications can run smoothly.

Software updates depend on the phone’s region, model, and update schedule. Buyers should check the installed software version and available updates before purchasing a used or imported device.

OnePlus 12R Connectivity and Other Features

The OnePlus 12R supports modern connectivity options, making it suitable for users who need fast internet and reliable wireless connections.

It supports 5G networks, allowing users to access faster mobile internet where compatible services are available.

The smartphone also offers Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, NFC in supported markets, and a USB Type-C port.

Other important features include:

• In-display fingerprint sensor.

• Face unlock.

• Stereo speakers.

• USB Type-C connectivity.

• NFC support (market dependent).

• 5G network connectivity.

• Wi-Fi 7 support.

• Dolby Vision support.

• Aqua Touch technology.

• IP64 dust and water resistance.

Aqua Touch is another interesting feature. It helps the touchscreen respond to touches even when there are water droplets on the screen.

The IP64 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes. However, it does not mean the phone is waterproof, so users should avoid dipping it in water.

The stereo speakers also improve the entertainment experience when watching videos, listening to music, or playing games.
