Three emerging designers vie for Bank Alfalah Rising Talent award at the PFDC Bridal Week

Lahore – Sep 28, 2016:Three up-and-coming young talents in fashion showcased their collections while vying for Bank Alfalah Rising Talent award at the opening of the PFDC Bridal Week today.

download The Rising Talent initiative, holdingthe apt tagline ‘Discovering the Potential of Pakistan,’ aims to motivate, inspire, and recognizeaspiring fashion designers of the country by providing them opportunities to hone their skills and augment their exposure.The three potential entrants to the Pakistani fashion scene included Mariam Amjad, Sara Naqvi, AminaNaeem, who exhibited their bridal collections amid fervent response from the audience. The best designer, chosen through a transparent voting of jurors and public, will be announced on the last day of the event i.e. Sep 30, and will take home the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent award along with a prize money of half a million rupees.Providing details of the contenders and glimpses of their collections were Bank Alfalah Rising Talent stands where the designers were personally available for interaction with public and media.Audience was prompted to vote for their favorite designer through an e-voting booth present in the Bank Alfalah lounge at the venue, as well as through social media channels. Bank Alfalah representatives were also present at the event and could be reached for comment or facilitation.Bank Alfalah has been supporting fashion through FPC (Fashion Pakistan Council) and PFDC (Pakistan Fashion Design Council). Bank Alfalah also supports emerging talent in cricket, polo and arts.
