Bilateral cultural collaboration with Turkey to be intensified

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, Mr. Sohail Mahmood, visited the Yunus Emre Institute in Ankara and met with its President, Prof. Dr. Hayati Develi. Expressing satisfaction over the excellent bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, the two sides reaffirmed their resolve to intensify cultural collaboration and people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides also reviewed progress towards the implementation of the decision to establish their respective Cultural Centres in Pakistan and Turkey. It was also agreed to closely coordinate for holding further painting and photography exhibitions, facilitating participation in literary and film festivals, organizing seminars and conferences, promoting Turkish/Urdu language education, and fostering music linkages, during 2015-2016.
