Information Right Commission in Islamabad Exposed: Officers Absent, Employees Idle

Islamabad, Zubair kasuri Pakistan – July 18, 2024:  A shocking discovery was made at the Information Right Commission’s F8 office in Islamabad today, revealing a stark lack of activity and absence of officers. Despite arriving at 11 am, not a single officer was present, leaving only a handful of clerks who seemed more interested in physical exercises than work.

When questioned about the whereabouts of the officers, a clerk dismissively stated that the institution falls under the Ministry of Information and suggested seeking information about officers from the ministry instead. The building was largely empty, with no senior or junior officers present to provide any guidance or oversight.

This disturbing lack of transparency and accountability raises serious questions about the functioning of the Information Right Commission, which is responsible for ensuring citizens’ right to access information in matters of public interest. The commission’s inactivity and absence of officers suggest a gross neglect of duties, leaving citizens’ rights unattended.

This exposé demands an immediate investigation into the matter, and citizens demand answers from the Ministry of Information and the Information Right Commission.
