Pakistan Takes Step Towards 5G Era, Receives Encouraging Response for IMT Spectrum Consultancy

In a significant development, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has received an overwhelming response to its call for consultancy bids to release IMT spectrum, a crucial step towards enhancing mobile broadband services and paving the way for the deployment of 5G technology in the country.

According to sources, a total of 11 reputed consulting firms have submitted their expressions of interest (EOIs) through the Electronic Procurement and Auctions Development System (EPADS). The PTA will now shortlist the firms and issue a request for proposal (RFP) to the selected consultants.

The selected consultant will be responsible for providing professional analysis and advice to the government of Pakistan for the 5G/IMT auction process, ensuring a transparent and efficient completion of the auction.

This development marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s journey towards embracing the 5G era, expected to revolutionize the country’s telecommunications landscape. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
