PAKISTAN OPENS ITS DOORS TO THE WORLD: Historic Visa Policy Reform Announced

Zubair Kasuri – In a landmark move, the government of Pakistan has unveiled a comprehensive reform of its visa policy, effective August 14. The new policy allows visa-free entry to Pakistan for citizens and businessmen from 126 friendly nations, eliminating cumbersome procedures and fees.

Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s vision to boost tourism and business ties has driven this bold initiative, set to revolutionize Pakistan’s image as a welcoming destination. The move is expected to attract a significant influx of tourists, investors, and entrepreneurs, injecting new life into the country’s economy.

The 126 countries included in the visa-free entry policy are:

The relaxed visa regime also extends to the Sikh community, with waived fees and conditions. With the launch of an E-Visa facility, applicants can now apply online, making it easier than ever to experience Pakistan’s warm hospitality.
