Woman Alleges Brother’s Fraudulent Pakistani Citizenship, Seeks ID Card Cancellation

Islamabad – A woman has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Interior, Pakistan, accusing her brother, Shahzada, of fraudulently obtaining Pakistani citizenship. The complainant, Sara Gul, who identifies herself as an Afghan national residing in Pakistan, claims Shahzada bribed officials to acquire a Pakistani National Identity Card (CNIC) bearing the number 16101-3718289-9.

Sara Gul asserts that Shahzada’s true nationality is Afghan and that he has been involved in illegal activities since acquiring the Pakistani CNIC. The complaint calls upon authorities to:
* Initiate a thorough inquiry into the allegations.
* Block Shahzada’s fraudulently obtained CNIC (16101-3718289-9).
* Take legal action against Shahzada for his alleged fraudulent actions.
In an unusual twist, Sara Gul also admits in her complaint that she herself possesses a Pakistani CNIC, which she believes was also obtained fraudulently. She expresses willingness to surrender her own Pakistani nationality to distance herself from any illicit activities and potential repercussions.

The complaint, dated August 22, 2024, and marked with reference number JS(Poll)/FIA/3601/2024, has been officially received by the Ministry of Interior. Authorities are expected to commence an investigation into the matter.
