69th Death Anniversary of Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Observed with Reverence

Wazirabad – The 69th death anniversary of the great hero of the Pakistan Movement and the Father of Journalism, Maulana Zafar Ali Khan, is being observed today with deep respect and admiration. Renowned for using his pen as the voice of the Muslims of the subcontinent, he fearlessly defended their rights and identity through his writings. His services to press freedom, national consciousness, and Muslim identity remain an enduring source of inspiration.

Maulana Zafar Ali Khan passed away on 27 November 1956 and is buried in Karamabad, a suburb of Wazirabad. Every year, political, social, and journalistic groups gather at his mausoleum to honour his memory. This year as well, special gatherings, Quran Khwani, and discussions highlighting his contributions are being held at the site.

The Wazirabad Press Club arranged a ceremony at the mausoleum yesterday, where speakers paid rich tribute to his journalistic and national services. They stated that his life, struggle, and literary work continue to guide the new generation.

Ceremonies are also being held in other cities, while journalistic circles have pledged to uphold and promote his message and legacy.
