Over 1,200 Pakistani YouTube Channels Reach 1 Million Subscribers

Pakistan’s YouTube community is growing rapidly, with more than 1,200 YouTube channels now having over one million subscribers, according to the latest figures shared by Google.

The company also revealed that more than 60 percent of the total watch time for videos made by Pakistani creators now comes from viewers living outside Pakistan. This shows that local creators are attracting large international audiences.

Over the past year, Pakistani YouTube creators uploaded more than 20 million hours of content. During the same period, more than 140,000 channels crossed 10,000 subscribers, while over 19,000 channels reached 100,000 subscribers.

Google said people from South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America are regularly watching videos created by Pakistani YouTubers. This growing global audience is helping Pakistani creators expand beyond the local market.

Farhan Qureshi, Google’s Cluster Director for Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Frontier Markets, said Pakistani creators are successfully sharing the country’s culture, creativity, and ideas with people around the world. He added that YouTube is also helping creators build businesses, create jobs, and support entrepreneurship.

One of Pakistan’s well-known YouTubers is Shahveer Jaffry, who has nearly four million subscribers. He is popular for making entertaining videos, reality-style shows, and fun challenges with his group of friends. His videos are usually around 30 minutes long and focus on everyday life and humor.

Another successful creator is WildLens by Abrar, which has more than 2.2 million subscribers. The channel is run by Abrar Hassan, who previously worked as an aerospace engineer in Germany’s automotive industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he traveled from Germany to Pakistan on a motorcycle while recording his journey. He later became a full-time travel YouTuber and has now visited more than 90 countries. He currently creates travel videos in Urdu and Punjabi while traveling from Pakistan to the Americas.

Food content is also one of Pakistan’s biggest YouTube success stories. Food Fusion, which started in 2016, now has more than five million subscribers. It became the first Pakistani food channel to reach one billion views. The channel is known for its simple and easy-to-follow recipe videos that focus on the cooking process instead of long explanations. Its content is popular among home cooks and small food business owners.

Another popular food creator is Rana Hamza Saif (RHS), who has built an audience of more than 1.6 million subscribers. His channel features food reviews, city food tours, and entertaining series where he tries different restaurants and street food.

Educational content is also becoming more popular on YouTube. Minoqtopus, created by Minahil Temur, produces detailed videos about technology, society, culture, and other educational topics. Instead of short clips, the channel focuses on long-form videos that explain subjects in depth.

Entertainment and media discussion channels are also gaining popularity. Something Haute, created by journalists Aamna Haider Isani and Hassan Choudary, reviews Pakistani dramas, interviews celebrities, and discusses television, films, and fashion. The channel has become popular among viewers in Pakistan as well as overseas Pakistanis.

Google’s latest data shows that Pakistan’s YouTube industry is growing faster than ever. More creators are reaching international audiences, building successful online businesses, and promoting Pakistani culture across the world. With thousands of new channels continuing to grow, YouTube is becoming one of the biggest digital platforms for Pakistani creators and entrepreneurs
