Redmi Note 17 Pro Global Variant Spotted Ahead of Launch, Pakistan May Be Among First Markets

Xiaomi appears to be preparing the global launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro, with a fresh database listing hinting that Pakistan could be one of the first countries to receive the smartphone.

The upcoming global variant has been spotted in the NBD import and export database carrying the model number 2607DRA18G. For comparison, the Chinese version launched earlier this week bears the model number 2607DRA18C, where the final letter indicates the target market. The “G” denotes the global version, while “C” is reserved for China.

Global Model Listed With Two Storage Variants

According to the database listing, the global Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to arrive in two memory configurations:

  • 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage

The records also reveal shipments to Pakistan and Vietnam, dated May 16 and May 25, 2026, suggesting Xiaomi has already begun preparations for the international rollout.

Interestingly, the global model appears to feature lower base memory options compared to the Chinese edition.

Chinese Variant Offers More Powerful Hardware

The Redmi Note 17 Pro debuted in China with flagship-level specifications, including a massive 9,000mAh battery, a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, and storage options of up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

Chinese buyers can choose from several configurations, including 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 8GB + 512GB.

Poco Version Also in Development

The same database has also revealed another Xiaomi device carrying the model number 2607DPC18G. The nearly identical model number suggests it could be a Poco-branded version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro.

While Xiaomi has yet to confirm the official branding, the company has a history of launching rebranded Redmi devices under the Poco lineup. However, the final marketing name of the smartphone remains unknown.

Recent leaks also indicate Xiaomi’s naming strategy has become increasingly confusing. A Poco device previously linked to the Redmi Note 17 was initially expected to launch as the Poco M8 Plus, but later firmware information suggested it could instead arrive as the Poco M8 Power.

Smaller Battery Expected for Global Markets

The leak further claims that the global Redmi Note 17 Pro may feature a slightly smaller battery than its Chinese counterpart.

Instead of the 9,000mAh battery available in China, the international model is expected to include an 8,340mAh rated battery, which will likely be marketed as 8,500mAh typical capacity.

Meanwhile, reports suggest the Indian variant could retain the full 9,000mAh battery, making it identical to the Chinese model in terms of battery capacity.

Official Launch Still Awaited

Xiaomi has not yet announced an official launch date for the global Redmi Note 17 Pro. Although the latest database listings indicate that the international release is getting closer, details regarding pricing, final specifications, Poco branding, and regional availability have yet to be confirmed.

More information is expected to emerge in the coming weeks as Xiaomi prepares for the global rollout.
