Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has announced that Regal Chowk in Saddar will be officially renamed Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk ahead of the celebrations for the holy month of Rabi ul Awwal.
The announcement was made during the mayor’s visit to Regal Chowk, where he was accompanied by the Municipal Commissioner and members of the Karachi City Council. During the visit, officials also reviewed plans for improving the area before the religious celebrations begin.
Speaking on the occasion, Murtaza Wahab said Karachi will be beautifully decorated with lights and special decorations during Rabi ul Awwal to celebrate the holy month. He added that the newly named Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk will also be renovated and beautified to improve its appearance and provide a better environment for residents and visitors.
The mayor said the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had successfully managed arrangements during Muharram and is committed to providing the same level of service during Rabi ul Awwal. He said the city administration will ensure cleanliness, proper lighting, traffic management, and other civic facilities throughout the month.
Murtaza Wahab also said that all concerned government departments will remain on high alert during Rabi ul Awwal to ensure public safety, smooth traffic flow, and the successful management of religious gatherings and celebrations across Karachi. He added that the city administration will work to provide the best possible facilities and convenience for citizens during the holy month.
