PTCL to Charge Additional Rs. 100 on Internet and Telephone Bills

Islamabad: Zubair Kasuri, CEO of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), has announced that the company will be charging an additional fee of Rs. 100 on internet and telephone bills starting from June 1, 2024.

According to sources, the decision will affect millions of users across the country, who will receive a message informing them of the new charge via SMS on their mobile phones.

As per the new policy, users who opt for a paper bill will be required to pay an additional Rs. 100, while those who choose to receive their bills via email will not be charged extra.

The company has assured that all necessary details regarding the new charge will be communicated to users, and they will be informed about the changes through various channels.

This move is likely to generate additional revenue for PTCL, which is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Pakistan.

It remains to be seen how users will react to this new charge, and whether it will have any impact on the company’s customer base.
