Pakistan and Russia Sign Historic Parliamentary Cooperation Agreement

MOSCOW – In a landmark development, Pakistan and Russia have signed a historic agreement to strengthen ties between their respective parliaments. The agreement was signed in Moscow by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and the Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.
The agreement aims to establish ongoing cooperation between the two legislative bodies through committees, commissions, and parliamentary groups. This move is expected to enhance collaboration and understanding between the two countries.
During the signing ceremony, Speaker Sadiq highlighted his long-standing friendship with Chairman Volodin and other members of the Russian delegation. He also expressed his gratitude to Chairman Volodin for accepting an invitation to visit Pakistan, further solidifying the bond between the two nations.
Speaker Sadiq thanked Chairman Volodin for supporting Pakistan’s initiative to convene a Speakers Conference Format. The two sides agreed to hold the fourth session of this conference in Moscow in 2025. To foster economic cooperation, Speaker Sadiq suggested inviting business delegations to the conference alongside official delegations.
This historic agreement marks a significant step forward in Pakistan-Russia relations, paving the way for increased cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.
