Kabul, February 5, 2026: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul organized a solemn ceremony on Wednesday to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani emphasized that the destinies of Pakistanis and Kashmiris are deeply intertwined and bound by a shared spiritual and ideological relationship. He stated that a strong Pakistan, grounded in its ideological foundations, is essential for the realization of Kashmir’s freedom, while the fulfillment of the legitimate rights of the Kashmiri people is vital for the complete realization of Pakistan’s own ideology.
The ambassador noted that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains one of the oldest unresolved issues on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council. He reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position that the dispute must be resolved in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, including the holding of a free and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices.
Ambassador Nizamani called upon all Pakistanis to continue strengthening national unity and ideological commitment, stressing that solidarity with Kashmir is not merely a foreign policy stance but a national duty tied to Pakistan’s moral and ideological integrity.
During the ceremony, messages from Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, and Mohammad Ishaq Dar were also read out, reaffirming the state’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people.
The event concluded with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and for peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan.
