A new leak has revealed the expected specifications of Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 17 smartphone series. The leaked information includes details about the display, processor, cameras, battery, memory options, durability, and colors for the Redmi Note 17, Redmi Note 17 Pro, and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
The information comes from YTECHB, but Xiaomi has not officially confirmed these details yet. The company is expected to launch the phones globally in the near future.
Redmi Note 17
The standard Redmi Note 17 is expected to come in both 4G and 5G versions.
Both models are rumored to feature a 6.99-inch AMOLED display with a 2396 × 1080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, making the screen easier to see outdoors. The display is also expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which helps protect it from scratches and minor drops.
The processors will be different depending on the model:
- Redmi Note 17 4G: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2
- Redmi Note 17 5G: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4
The 4G version is expected to be available with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage.
The 5G version is expected to offer 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage.
For photography, both phones are expected to feature a 50MP main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Redmi Note 17 Pro
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to offer several premium upgrades.
It is rumored to feature a slightly smaller 6.83-inch AMOLED display, but with a sharper 2772 × 1280 resolution. The screen is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate, an impressive 3,500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for stronger protection against drops and scratches.
The phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor.
Memory options may include:
- 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB RAM
- 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage
According to the leak, the 128GB model will use UFS 2.2 storage, while the 256GB and 512GB versions will feature the faster UFS 3.1 storage, improving app loading and file transfer speeds.
For cameras, the Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to include:

- 8MP ultra-wide camera
- 16MP front camera
The battery could be even larger than the standard model, with an 8,340mAh capacity and 67W fast wired charging, allowing for longer battery life and quicker charging.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is expected to be the most powerful phone in the lineup.
The leak suggests it will use the same 6.83-inch AMOLED display as the Pro model with a 120Hz refresh rate, although Xiaomi has not confirmed these details.
The rear camera setup is also expected to be similar to the Pro model, featuring a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. However, the front camera is expected to receive a major upgrade to 32MP, making it better for selfies, video calls, and content creation.
The phone is rumored to be powered by the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, offering better performance and improved power efficiency.

The storage technology is also expected to improve. The 128GB version may use UFS 2.1 storage, while the 256GB and 512GB models are rumored to feature the much faster UFS 4.0 storage, providing quicker app launches and better overall performance.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is also expected to have the largest battery in the series, with a massive 9,210mAh capacity. It is rumored to support 100W wired fast charging, allowing the huge battery to recharge much faster than previous Redmi phones.

Although the leaked specifications suggest that the Redmi Note 17 series could offer large batteries, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, improved cameras, and powerful Snapdragon processors, Xiaomi has not officially announced these phones or confirmed their specifications.
