LG has introduced its new 2026 LG gram laptop series, bringing improvements in design, performance, artificial intelligence (AI), and durability. The new lineup is designed for students, office workers, business users, and people who need a lightweight laptop for daily work. The company is also offering different models for users who need more power for video editing, creative work, and other demanding tasks.
One of the biggest updates is the introduction of Aerominum, a new material used in selected LG gram Pro laptops. LG says this material helps reduce weight while improving strength and scratch resistance. The new series also brings improved AI tools, updated processors, and better connections with smartphones and other devices.
For Pakistani buyers, the new LG laptops may be worth considering if portability, battery life, and modern features are important. However, buyers should check the exact model, local price, warranty, and availability before making a purchase.
Latest LG Laptop Series in 2026
The 2026 LG gram range includes four main product families:
LG gram Pro: Designed for professionals, content creators, and users who need strong performance in a lightweight laptop.
LG gram Pro 2-in-1: A convertible laptop with a touchscreen that can be used for writing, drawing, and other creative tasks.
LG gram: A lightweight option for work, study, meetings, and everyday use.
LG gram Book: A practical option for students and general users who want a laptop for common tasks.
LG announced US pricing and availability for its 2026 range on April 30, 2026. The models are available in different configurations, so processor, memory, display, and graphics features can vary.
1. New Design and Stronger Body
The design is one of the main improvements in the 2026 LG gram series. LG has introduced Aerominum on selected gram Pro models to offer a metallic appearance without making the laptop unnecessarily heavy.
The company says the material improves structural strength and scratch resistance. This is useful for people who carry their laptops to offices, universities, meetings, and other places every day.
The new laptops are designed to balance portability and durability. Selected models have also passed MIL-STD-810H durability testing, which covers several conditions, including shocks and temperature changes. This does not mean a laptop is impossible to damage, so users should still handle it carefully.
For Pakistani users who travel frequently or work from different locations, a lightweight laptop with a strong body can be a practical choice.
2. LG gram Pro 16: Premium Performance
The LG gram Pro 16 is one of the key models in the new lineup. It is aimed at people who want a large, high-quality display without carrying a heavy laptop.
LG lists a 16-inch WQXGA+ OLED display with a resolution of 2,880 × 1,800 pixels for the featured model. OLED technology can provide deep blacks, rich contrast, and clear images, making it useful for watching videos, editing photographs, and working with visual content.
The laptop is available with an Intel Core Ultra processor, while selected configurations in the wider range offer AMD Ryzen AI processors. The exact processor depends on the model number and configuration.
The gram Pro 16 also supports AI-based productivity features. Its lightweight design makes it suitable for professionals who regularly move between home, office, and other work locations.
LG has highlighted a 77Wh battery for the featured 16-inch Pro configuration. Actual battery life depends on screen brightness, workload, software, and other settings.
3. LG gram Pro 17: Large Display and Graphics Power
The LG gram Pro 17 is designed for users who prefer a larger display and need extra graphics performance. Its 17-inch screen offers more space for working with documents, spreadsheets, video timelines, and multiple windows.
The announced North American model features a 2,560 × 1,600-pixel LCD display and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 laptop graphics processor with 8GB of GDDR7 memory. This configuration is aimed at graphics-intensive work, content creation, and gaming.
One interesting point is that LG designed the laptop’s body to remain relatively compact despite the large screen. The company describes this model as the world’s lightest 17-inch laptop with RTX graphics in its category. This is a manufacturer claim rather than a guarantee that every 17-inch laptop will be heavier.
Availability is important for Pakistani buyers because this particular 17-inch configuration was announced as exclusive to North America. It should not be assumed that the same version is officially available in Pakistan.
4. LG gram Pro 2-in-1: Touchscreen and Flexible Use
The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 is designed for people who want the features of both a laptop and a tablet. Its convertible hinge allows users to fold the screen back and change how they use the device.
The announced 2026 model features a 16-inch WQXGA+ OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 2,880 × 1,800 pixels. It also supports stylus input, making it useful for drawing, taking handwritten notes, marking documents, and editing content.
Students can use it to make notes during lectures, while office workers can review documents and presentations. Designers and creative users may also find the touchscreen helpful for certain tasks.
However, buyers should remember that touchscreen support and stylus features can vary between laptop models. They should confirm the exact specifications before buying.
The gram Pro 2-in-1 is a premium device, so it may not suit buyers who only need a basic laptop for browsing the internet and preparing documents.
5. LG gram and LG gram Book for Students
Not everyone needs a high-performance laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Many users simply want a reliable device for online classes, office work, web browsing, video calls, and watching movies.
The standard LG gram range is designed for people who value portability and everyday performance. Depending on the configuration, users can choose a laptop with different screen sizes and processors.
The LG gram Book is another option in the 2026 range. LG has introduced 15.6-inch and 16-inch versions, giving buyers more choice when selecting a screen size.
The company has also highlighted dual SSD slots on the gram Book range. This can provide additional storage flexibility on supported configurations, although upgrade options should be checked for the exact model.
For students in Pakistan, an LG gram Book may be suitable for assignments, research, online meetings, and basic editing. Before buying, it is important to check the RAM, storage, operating system, and whether the laptop has an official local warranty.
6. New AI Features in LG Laptops
Artificial intelligence is another important part of the 2026 LG gram update. Selected models combine Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC features with LG’s own AI tools.
LG describes this approach as Dual AI because it brings together on-device AI and cloud-based AI.
On-device AI
On-device AI processes supported tasks directly on the laptop. LG’s gram chat uses its EXAONE 3.5 small language model to provide assistance with selected tasks, including when an internet connection is unavailable.
This may help users work with supported AI features while travelling or working in places with limited internet access. The available functions depend on the software and laptop configuration.
Cloud-based AI
Cloud-based AI uses online services to provide assistance. Depending on the supported features, it can help users get information, summarise content, and manage certain work tasks.
LG says its cloud-based gram chat can integrate with personal calendar and email services to assist with scheduling and communication.
Microsoft Copilot+
Selected models also support Microsoft Copilot+ PC features. These tools can provide AI-powered assistance for compatible tasks, including translation, content work, and other productivity activities.
Not every feature is available on every LG laptop. Availability may depend on the processor, software version, region, language, and internet connection.
7. Processor, RAM, and Storage Options
The latest LG gram series offers different hardware configurations for different types of users.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Processor | Selected Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen AI options |
| Graphics | Integrated graphics or dedicated NVIDIA graphics on selected models |
| Display sizes | 15.6-inch, 16-inch, and 17-inch options across the announced range |
| Display technology | OLED or LCD, depending on the model |
| Storage | SSD storage; dual SSD slots on supported gram Book models |
| Operating system | Windows 11 on the announced lineup |
| AI features | LG gram chat and selected Microsoft Copilot+ PC features |
| Connectivity | gram Link support across compatible devices |
These details describe the announced product range, not one laptop that includes every feature. For example, the RTX graphics option is associated with selected Pro models, while the touchscreen and stylus are features of the convertible Pro 2-in-1.
For normal office work, web browsing, and online classes, buyers should focus on having enough RAM and SSD storage rather than paying extra for features they will rarely use.
People working with large video files, advanced design software, or demanding games should pay more attention to graphics performance and cooling.
8. Battery Life and Charging
Battery performance is an important factor for anyone who uses a laptop outside the home. Students may need a laptop throughout the college day, while professionals may use it during meetings and travel.
LG has focused on portability and battery life in its gram range. The featured 16-inch gram Pro configuration has a 77Wh battery, and LG has reported up to 27 hours of video playback in its own testing. The company has also stated that a 30-minute charge can provide more than nine hours of use under its test conditions.
These figures should not be treated as guaranteed daily battery life. Video playback under controlled conditions can use less power than video editing, gaming, video calls, or heavy multitasking.
In Pakistan, where electricity availability and travel needs may affect laptop use, buyers should consider battery capacity, charging time, and the availability of a compatible charger.
Before purchasing, it is also wise to check whether the particular model supports the charging method and power adapter supplied with it.
9. LG New Laptop Price in Pakistan 2026
The price is one of the most important factors for Pakistani buyers. LG’s 2026 laptop series includes entry-level options as well as premium models with OLED displays, advanced processors, and dedicated graphics.
LG announced the following US prices for selected models. These are official US launch prices, not confirmed Pakistani retail price.
| LG laptop model | Announced US price |
|---|---|
| LG gram Book 15.6-inch | $1,149.99 |
| LG gram 15.6-inch | $1,599.99 |
| LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16-inch | $2,199.99 |
| LG gram Book 16-inch | $1,499.99 |
| LG gram Pro 17-inch | $1,649.99 |
| LG gram Pro 16-inch | $2,399.99 |
These prices refer to selected configurations and should be checked against the exact model. They do not confirm the current selling price in Pakistan.
The final local cost may be higher because of import expenses, taxes, currency changes, shipping charges, and retailer margins. Prices can also differ between new laptops and imported used or refurbished units.
Pakistani buyers should compare prices from several sellers and ask whether the laptop comes with a local warranty. A cheaper imported laptop may not offer the same after-sales support as a product purchased through an authorised seller.
10. LG Laptop Availability in Pakistan
The 2026 LG gram range has been announced for selected international markets, including the United States. However, the availability of individual configurations can differ from one country to another.
Pakistani buyers should not assume that every new model is available locally. Some versions may be sold through importers, while others may not be offered in the country at all.
Before placing an order, check these points:
Exact model number: Confirm that the processor, display, graphics, RAM, and storage match the advertised specifications.
Warranty: Ask whether the warranty is provided by LG or by the seller.
Keyboard layout: Check the keyboard layout and whether it suits your needs.
Charger: Confirm that the correct charger is included.
Return policy: Read the seller’s conditions for returning a faulty or incorrectly described laptop.
Software: Confirm the Windows version and whether the laptop is new, refurbished, or used.
These checks can help buyers avoid paying a premium for a laptop that does not meet their needs.
11. Which LG Laptop Is Best for You?
The best model depends on your budget and how you plan to use it.
For students: Consider the LG gram Book if you mainly need a laptop for assignments, browsing, online classes, and presentations.
For office workers: The standard LG gram may be a good choice if you need a portable device for documents, spreadsheets, and meetings.
For professionals: The LG gram Pro 16 offers a high-resolution OLED display and modern processor options for demanding work.
For artists and note-taking: The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 is worth considering if you need a touchscreen and stylus support.
For graphics work: Selected LG gram Pro configurations with NVIDIA RTX graphics may suit users who need additional graphics power.
For frequent travellers: Focus on weight, battery performance, charging options, and body strength.
Remember that a more expensive laptop is not always the best choice. Select a model that offers the performance and features you actually need.
12. Security and Device Connectivity
LG has also highlighted improvements to the way its laptops connect with other devices. The updated gram Link feature is designed to support file sharing, screen mirroring, and content transfer across compatible Android and iOS devices, along with supported LG products such as televisions and monitors.
This can be useful for users who regularly transfer photographs, documents, and other files between a laptop and a smartphone.
LG has also described security features through its software ecosystem, including the ability to remotely lock or erase a supported PC if it is lost. Users should check which features are available on their particular model and configure them before relying on them.
These tools may help protect personal information, but users should still use strong passwords, keep their software updated, and back up important file.
Conclusion
The 2026 LG gram laptop lineup brings a range of updates for people looking for lightweight computers with modern features. The new Aerominum material on selected Pro models focuses on strength and portability, while the latest processor options and AI tools aim to improve everyday productivity.
The LG gram Pro 16 is aimed at users who want a premium display and strong performance. The gram Pro 17 targets people who need a larger screen and dedicated graphics, while the Pro 2-in-1 offers a flexible touchscreen design. The standard gram and gram Book ranges provide additional options for students and general users.
For Pakistani buyers, the main things to consider are local availability, price, warranty, battery performance, and the exact hardware configuration. Checking these details before purchasing will help you choose an LG laptop that fits both your needs and your budget.
