Uber Pakistan launches uberAUTO in Pakistan
17 October, 2016: Uber, the smartphone app that connects riders to drivers at the push of a button, today launches uberAUTO in Lahore, adding another low-cost product to its offerings as part of its expansion across the country. The leading technology company continues to develop its business so as to provide more Pakistani riders and drivers with the opportunity to experience the convenience of Uber.Rickshaws are already a signature mode of moving around in Pakistan and uberAUTO will help transform the existing transportation options by using the leading technology to build in another layer of safety, reliability and economic opportunity. In doing so, Uber will be bringing in a level of transparency to the rickshaw industry. Every driver partner is required to submit valid government issued documents that are verified before being given access to Uber’s technology. Furthermore, uberAUTO will launch in Lahore with a free week.
