PIA and McDonald’s sign

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and McDonald’s Pakistan inked a Memorandum of Understanding to put together a special offer for the passengers of the national carrier, at a ceremony held at McDonald’s Airport Branch, Karachi.

CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik, Chief Commercial Officer PIA, Mr. Ali Tahir Qasim , Chief Operations, Marketing, Development & Supply Chain Officer, McDonald’s Pakistan, Jamil Mughal along with airline’s officials attended the ceremony.  

CEO PIA, Air Marshall Arshad Malik sharing his views on the occasion said “This union is a great opportunity for both the brands to come together for the combined benefit of customers and improvement in value chain.” He was also happy to declare this collaboration as the beginning of many more exciting ventures to come.

Speaking at the ceremony, Jamil Mughal said, “The collaboration between McDonald’s and PIA is a perfect coupling. With this, we are proud to have joined hands with the national carrier and take the experience of travelling to even greater heights.”-

As part of the agreement, McDonald’s will be branding the boarding passes with its special offer that will be valid on all nationwide Mcdonald’s restaurants for PIA passengers. This is sure to be a valuable proposition for both the brands as PIA has over 6 million passengers, including local and international flyers. To propel things further ahead, both the brands are looking to explore multiple collaborative opportunities, such as serving McCafe coffee during all PIA flights and at various airport lounges.
