PAKISTANI MISSION CONFIRMS RESCUE OF FOUR CITIZENS FROM SCAM CENTERS

 

Islamabad, Special report Pakistan – The Pakistani Mission in Yangon has confirmed that four Pakistani citizens held captive by scam centers have been rescued and returned to Pakistan.

According to a statement, Mr. Saqib Mushtaq and Mr. Waqar Ullah, two of the rescued individuals, revealed that a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Mae Sot, Thailand, negotiated their release.

“The Mission is relieved that our citizens have been rescued and returned home safely,” said a spokesperson. “We appreciate the efforts of the NGO involved and will continue to work towards protecting Pakistani citizens abroad.”

Authorities are investigating the scam centers and working to apprehend those responsible.
