Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan – A grand ceremony was held yesterday to recognize the contributions of police officers and youths in the anti-polio campaigns in Dera Ismail Khan district.
The event, organized by the District Emergency Operation Center, was attended by senior police officials, including DSP City Circle Muhammad Adnan, DSP Headquarters Dera Chin Shah, and other officers.
In his address, DSP City Muhammad Adnan praised the police officers and youths for their dedication and commitment to the eradication of poliomyelitis. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by those who have lost their lives or been injured in the line of duty.
The ceremony highlighted the collaborative efforts of the police department and local communities in combating the deadly disease. It emphasized the need for a collective effort to achieve the goal of complete eradication of polio.
“Everyone must play their role in the complete eradication of polio,” said DSP City Muhammad Adnan. “We must work together to ensure a polio-free future for our children.”
The event was seen as a morale booster for the police officers and youths who have been working tirelessly to support the anti-polio campaigns. It also served as a reminder of the importance of their role in protecting public health.
