Austrian Ambassador Visits Kartarpur Corridor, Praises Hospitality

SHAKARGARH, PAKISTAN – Austrian Ambassador to Pakistan, Andrea Wicke, recently visited the Kartarpur Corridor with her family. The ambassador paid her respects at the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, the final resting place of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.


During her visit, Ambassador Wicke participated in traditional activities, including visiting the Darshan Sthan, a viewing point offering a glimpse of the Gurdwara in India, and partaking in langar, the communal meal served to all visitors.

Ambassador Wicke expressed her gratitude to the Pakistani government for the well-maintained facilities and warm hospitality extended to her and her family. This visit highlights the significance of the Kartarpur Corridor as a bridge for religious tourism and diplomacy, fostering goodwill between Pakistan and other nations.
