Islamabad,Zubair kasuri – An overseas Pakistani arriving at Islamabad Airport after a 7-year absence has spoken out against the alleged rude and unprofessional behavior of immigration officials. In a video circulating on social media, the visibly upset man details his experience, claiming he was treated like a criminal and subjected to harassment.
He alleges that officials seemed more focused on extorting money than providing efficient service, a sentiment that resonates with many overseas Pakistanis returning home. “They made me feel like I had done something wrong,” he states in the video. “I came back to my own country and this is how I am treated?”
The man urges fellow overseas Pakistanis to share their own experiences and utilize social media to bring attention to this issue. He calls for greater compassion and understanding from immigration officials towards those returning to Pakistan after years abroad.
This incident has sparked online debate, with many users sharing similar accounts of unpleasant encounters with immigration officials at the airport. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), responsible for immigration control, has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
