The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has reportedly revived its pursuit of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti to lead the national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The renewed interest comes in the wake of Brazil’s disappointing 4-1 defeat to Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers, which has intensified pressure on current head coach Dorival Junior.
Ancelotti was previously linked to the Brazil job in 2023, but he chose to remain with Real Madrid, signing a contract extension until 2026.
