Pakistan Introduces One-Year Multiple-Entry Visas for Afghan Drivers and Transporters

Islamabad, Zubair Kasuri, In a significant move aimed at streamlining cross-border trade and transit operations, the Government of Pakistan has unveiled a new visa category for Afghan drivers and transporters. This initiative offers multiple-entry visas with a one-year validity for a fee of USD 100.

The new “Work (Transit/Transport) visa” is designed to facilitate smoother movement for essential transport and transit operations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. This development is particularly noteworthy as it comes after recent policy shifts regarding entry requirements for Afghan truck drivers, which had previously ended visa-free entry.
Afghan drivers and transporters can apply for this visa through the official online portal: https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/work-transit-transport-visa.

To complete their application, individuals will be required to upload the following documents:
* Photograph
* Scanned copy of passport
* Tazkira (Afghan National ID)
* Valid Temporary Admission Document (TAD)
* Employment Letter from a registered transport company or authority letter by a transport operator
* Valid driving license

For any inquiries or assistance with the application process, applicants can contact +93202202745-46.

The Government of Pakistan appreciates the efforts of Secretary Interior Khurram Agha and Deputy Secretary Visa Ms. Shireen Hina in bringing this important initiative to fruition, which is expected to greatly benefit bilateral trade and connectivity
