KABUL – Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Kabul held a “Youm-e-Istehsal” ceremony to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani addressed the gathering, reiterating Pakistan’s “steadfast and undeterred” support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Ambassador Nizamani characterized this support as a “cornerstone” of Pakistan’s foreign policy. He claimed that India’s “hegemonic ambitions” in South Asia would ultimately fail in the face of Pakistan’s “rational diplomacy and robust defensive capabilities.”

The Ambassador further stated that India’s actions in Kashmir over the past six years have exposed its “expansionist and imperialistic mindset.” He accused India of backing “proxy terrorists” and engaging in “persistent hostile actions” against Pakistan to undermine its commitment to the Kashmir cause. He concluded by asserting that the Pakistani nation and its armed forces are united in their resolve to counter what he called India’s “nefarious designs for Kashmir and South Asia.”

The ceremony included the reading of messages from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. A one-minute silence was also observed to express solidarity with the people of IIOJK.
