Pakistani Women in Jeddah Host Grand Celebration of Saudi National Day

Jeddah (by Sana Shoaib) — As in previous years, Pakistani women residing in Jeddah expressed their traditional warmth and affection by organizing a vibrant ceremony to mark the Saudi National Day.

The event was graciously hosted by Mrs. Farida Majeed, wife of Pakistan’s Consul General in Jeddah, Mr. Khalid Majeed, at their residence, where a large number of women participated with great enthusiasm.

On this occasion, participants not only extended heartfelt congratulations on Saudi Arabia’s National Day but also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the long-standing ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Through various cultural expressions and activities, the women highlighted Pakistan’s pride and sought to underscore the deep bonds of brotherhood and friendship between the two nations.

A special session was also held to shed light on the importance of Saudi National Day, emphasizing that relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to serve as a pillar of stability in the region. Attendees stressed that the Pakistani community—especially women—play a vital role in promoting Pakistan’s positive and friendly image in Saudi Arabia.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Hosting duties were carried out by Dr. Rakhshanda Masood Puri, President of the Women’s Group, and Mrs. Farida Majeed, Chairperson. Mrs. Surayya Jabeen, an active member of the group, also extended full support at every stage of the ceremony.

The celebration included the cutting of a Saudi National Day cake, followed by a sumptuous dinner arranged for the participants.

The event concluded with special prayers for the peace, security, and prosperity of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
