Islamabad – October 28, 2025: PTCL Group (PTCL & Ufone 4G) and GSMA have signed a long-term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at GITEX Global 2025, expanding collaboration not only within telecom but also across diverse industries. The GSMA Open Gateway initiative is designed to help enterprises connect their services to mobile networks easily and securely using Application Programmable Interfaces (API). This simplifies the adoption of new digital services and drives faster innovation at scale.
PTCL Group has announced the successful development and certification of two new APIs ‘Send OTP’ and ‘Validate OTP’ on the CAMARA standard 1.0.0, the latest release based on Client Initiated Backend Authentication (CIBA). By becoming part of the GSMA Open Gateway initiative, these APIs ensure enterprises and telecom operators can access standardized, secure, and interoperable services.
With this milestone, PTCL Group joins global leaders in advancing digital ecosystems by enabling businesses to easily embed mobile network capabilities into their platforms. The newly certified APIs enhance user authentication, minimize fraud risks, and improve customer journeys by leveraging globally recognized frameworks for security and reliability.
