Chinese Smartphone Brands Dominate Punjab Market as Vivo and Infinix Lead Sales

Lahore (Special Report – Flare Media Network): New market data from one of Punjab’s major smartphone distribution hubs shows that Chinese smartphone brands continue to dominate consumer demand in the region. The latest sales chart from a leading wholesale and retail network indicates that Vivo and Infinix have emerged as the top-selling brands, significantly outperforming Samsung, Oppo, and other international competitors.

According to the data, Vivo holds the largest market share at 31.1%, followed by Infinix with 22.4%. Other prominent players include Xiaomi (12.4%), Tecno (11.2%), Oppo (7.8%), and Realme (7.1%). Meanwhile, Samsung, once considered a leading smartphone brand in Pakistan, has fallen to just 1.5% share in the surveyed retail market.

Brand Market Share:

  1. Vivo 31.1%
  2. Infinix 22.4%
  3. Xiaomi 12.4%
  4. Tecno 11.2%
  5. Oppo 7.8%
  6. Realme 7.1%
  7. Itel 5.5%
  8. Samsung 1.5%
  9. Others ~1%

Industry observers note that the strong performance of Chinese brands is driven by key factors such as:

  • Affordable pricing with competitive features
  • Local assembly and reduced import dependency
  • High battery life and camera specifications targeted at youth
  • Wide availability and aggressive promotional campaigns

Analysts believe the shift reflects changing consumer priorities in Pakistan’s largest province by population. As economic pressures shape purchasing patterns, consumers are increasingly opting for devices that offer higher specifications at lower price points.

Meanwhile, global premium brands such as Samsung and Apple are becoming less accessible to the average customer due to rising costs, taxes, and exchange rate volatility, resulting in shrinking market share in mid-range and entry-level segments.

The data highlights a clear trend: the future of Pakistan’s smartphone market is being shaped by competitive Chinese manufacturers. If the current trajectory continues, local assembly units and partnerships with Chinese technology firms are expected to play an even more influential role in the country’s mobile ecosystem.
