Mian Channu: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has cracked down on a group involved in
producing and selling counterfeit tea leaves under the names of well-known brands, during a raid conducted in Mian Channu.
According to official sources, the enforcement team carried out an operation near Bora Chowk, close to Daud Mosque, where an illegal tea packaging and production unit was operating. The raid led to the recovery of 275 kilograms of fake tea leaves, allegedly prepared for sale in the local market using counterfeit packaging of famous tea brands.

Authorities stated that the accused were running the business without a valid food license, violating food safety regulations. Following the raid, the production unit was sealed, while an FIR was registered against the suspect involved in the illegal operation.
Officials also confirmed that samples of the tea leaves were collected and sent to the laboratory for further testing to determine quality, adulteration, and potential health risks.
