ISLAMABAD: Zubair Kasuri: Pakistan and New South Wales have discussed expanding cooperation in the agriculture sector, with a particular focus on seed technology, research, innovation and knowledge sharing.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Australia, Irfan Shaukat, met Tara Moriarty MLC, Minister for Agriculture, Regional New South Wales and Western New South Wales, and discussed opportunities to strengthen Pakistan-NSW agricultural ties.
During the meeting, both sides explored prospects for closer collaboration in modern seed technology, agricultural research and innovation, as well as greater exchange of expertise and knowledge between relevant institutions.
The discussions also covered opportunities to enhance bilateral agricultural trade and develop stronger institutional linkages, reflecting the potential for broader cooperation between Pakistan and New South Wales in the agriculture sector.
