Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr. Shafqat Ali Khan, has termed the Indian brutal atrocities and illegal and unilateral act of 5th August 2019 as the last futile efforts to suppress the indigenous freedom struggle by the Kashmiri people.
The Ambassador expressed these views while addressing a ceremony to commemorate Youm-Istehsal at the Embassy of Pakistan, Moscow, today.
HE Mr. Shafqat Ali Khan, while commenting on the Indian illegal acts of 5th August, said that despite more than 70 years of its continued oppressive designs and acts of brutality, the Indian state further compounding its historic illegality was a clear manifestation of its failure to win over or suppress the Kashmiris. He said our Kashmiri brothers and sisters had chosen a path of struggle. Pakistanis firmly stand with them and will continue to extend moral and diplomatic support. He added that today, in Moscow, the Pakistani community has gathered to pay tribute to the righteous freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and denounce the illegal and unilateral acts of 5th August by the Indian state.
The ceremony has also addressed by prominent Moscow-based Kashmiri Mr. Ishteaq Ahmed Hamdani. In his remarks, he called for joint efforts from the forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He also praised the Pakistani nation and the Government for their continued support of the freedom struggles of the Kashmiri people.
The ceremony to commemorate Youm-Istehsal has held at the Pakistan Embassy in Moscow today to pay tribute to the indigenous freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and denounce India’s illegal and unilateral acts.
The ceremony began with recitation from Holy Quran, followed by National Anthem and Kashmir Anthem. Special messages on the occasion of Youm-Istehsal of the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, and Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, are read by Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Summar Javed and Third Secretary Mr. Muhammad Tayyab.
The ceremony was attended by the members of the Pakistani community in Russia, diplomatic staff, and officers.
