Ministry of Interior Recalls Staff from Federal Secretariat Receptions

Islamabad, Pakistan – In a move to streamline security protocols, the Ministry of Interior has recalled its staff members deployed at various receptions of the Federal Secretariat in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

According to a notification issued on July 19, 2024, the recalled officials include Mr. Wajid Ali Shah, Assistant (BS-15), and Mr. Muhammad Ijaz, Assistant (BS-16). These officials were earlier performing duties at the receptions on account of security and reception duties.

However, the Ministry of Interior has clarified that the security mandate rests with the ICT Police, Islamabad, and not with the subject officials. The recalled officials will now perform their assigned duties as per law within the Ministry of Interior.

This move is seen as a step towards enhancing the security protocols and streamlining the duties of the Ministry of Interior. The specific duties and responsibilities of the recalled officials will be assigned by the Ministry of Interior.
