Zarrar Hasham Khan Takes Helm at IT & Telecom Ministry

Islamabad, September 4, 2024 – The Government of Pakistan has appointed Zarrar Hasham Khan as the new Secretary of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. The appointment, effective immediately, is on a two-year contract basis and comes with the approval of Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.


The notification, issued by the Establishment Division of the Cabinet Secretariat, states that Mr. Khan’s appointment is until further orders.
This key appointment comes at a time when Pakistan is focusing on expanding its digital footprint and promoting technological advancements. Mr. Khan’s experience and leadership are expected to play a crucial role in driving the country’s IT and Telecom sectors forward.
