The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has revealed a 20-member national team for the 2026 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup. The tournament will take place in the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to August 30.
The selected squad includes a blend of experienced players and young talent as Pakistan prepares to compete in one of the biggest events in international hockey.

The team will be coached by Dutch head coach Bob Johan Veldhof. He will be assisted by Christopher John Bowen from Great Britain and Adnan Zakir.
Muhammad Awais Qarni has been named the team manager, while Ashraf Sultan will work as the video analyst.
PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, who is also the Secretary of the Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ministry, expressed confidence in the players and coaching staff. He encouraged hockey fans across the country to support the national team during the World Cup.
Pakistan earned its place in the tournament after returning to the top level of international hockey. However, the team enters the World Cup after a disappointing FIH Pro League campaign, where it lost all 16 matches and finished at the bottom of the table.
Those results have increased pressure on the players and officials, with many hoping the team can improve its performances on the world stage. Facing some of the strongest hockey nations, Pakistan will need to produce its best hockey to make a strong impact in the tournament.
